LIVECLAIM™
If you are a client of Premier Claim Consultants you can see your property insurance claim adjusted
live! If you are simply visiting our site and you want to know more about how we adjust claims and
the services we provide to our clients, contact us or one of our
sales representatives for a password so you can review samples of our claim files "live."
LIVECLAIM™ also gives consumers a glimpse into the world of claims adjusting by listing
examples of residential and commercial claims by date, location, type of loss, and insurance
company as we evaluate their compliance with the
California Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations.
Click on the "Live" or "Archived" links below for a listing of claims that have been or that
are currently being adjusted on LIVECLAIMTM. Next to the claim information you will see our
Claims Handling Barometer™ which gives a "live" or final compliance rating to the named
insurance company's claim handling practices. A "5" is compliant, "1-4" means the insurance company
is non-compliant, and "6-10" means that the insurance company is exceeding the "minimum standards"
of the California Regulations
(see section 2695.1[a][1]).
As long as the insurance company remains compliant with existing and applicable Regulations then the
rating will stay at "5." Each violation of the Regulations drops the Claims Handling Barometer™ down
one rating, and each time the insurance company goes beyond what is required of them the Barometer will
be raised one rating above "5." Violations that occur during each claim will be listed "live" on the
right-hand side of the Barometer, as will brief explanations of how the insurance company may have
gone beyond what is required of it.
It is the vision and the hope of Premier Claim Consultants that LIVECLAIM™ will encourage
compliance with all applicable Regulations so that consumers will get fair treatment from their
insurance company during their claim settlement. LIVECLAIM™
will also serve as a resource for those people who want to learn more about how different
insurance companies adhere to the laws and the Regulations of California for insurance companies. To
see how the California Department of Insurance rates your insurance company, read the current
study published by the Department here.
